Background



For medical professionals, for increasing user registration, for an improved platform.
Roche Fachportal serves a diverse group of HCPs (Healthcare Professionals), but the rapid growth and multiplication of content and the lack of a unified design have made information retrieval inefficient.

This redesign aims to better support time-constrained HCPs, making Fachportal their daily, easily accessible source of information, proactively assisting in patient communication, education, and research.

Additionally, Fachportal is a key tool for Roche, enabling the creation of tailored content and services and allowing internal teams to quickly respond to market demands.

Approach

As the design agency for this project, we organized and led the design process, collaborating with multiple agencies for implementation, ensuring best practices and efficiency:

User Research
  • Defined high-level user journeys for three target groups.
  • Conducted workshops to analyze user needs and workflows.


      • Dr. Product – Seeks concise, actionable information for quick decisions.
      Dr. Knowledge – Looks for in-depth, structured content to stay updated.
      Dr. Expertise – Needs detailed, specialized insights for professional use.





      Information Architecture

    • Conducted keyword research and relevance analysis to optimize content organization.
    • Developed a navigation structure and hierarchy concept for better accessibility.
    • Created a basic search framework and improved content categorization and tagging.
    • Held an SEO workshop to enhance tagging management and tracking strategies.

    • Developed a detailed UX concept, outlining key activities and requirements.
    • Designed user interfaces based on structured page types to ensure consistency and scalability.
    • Applied agile iteration, conducting multiple rounds of rapid user testing (A/B testing, card sorting, etc.) to refine the experience.
